[Latest announcement from the Ministry of Education/ January 27 updated]
Due to the escalating COVID-19 situation in Taiwan and the limited capacity of government-arranged group quarantine facilities, the Ministry of Education received instructions from the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) to suspend international degree-seeking students' application for government-arranged group quarantines facilities between February 15 and February 28, 2022. Those who already received the entry permit and are in the entry application process shall book your quarantine at a quarantine hotel.

Following the instructions of the Ministry of Education, schools can start the entry procedures for international degree-seeking students in February semester 2022. Please refer to the following estimated schedule.
Visa Application
| Late December 2021 to Early January 2022 | MCU submits the list of new students to the Ministry of Education for approval. |
| January 2022 | If your MCU Offer Letter is issued before January 5, 2022, please Click to download: Ministry of Education official letter (Date: 2021/12/30, Letter Reference Number: 臺教高(二)字第1100180552號) Students should contact and apply for a visa at the Taipei Representative Office near your place. |
| January 25th , 2022 | 1. After obtaining your visa, please email passport main page and Taiwan visa page to Office of International Student Service (OISS). OISS will contact and add you to the LINE group for easier communication. 2. OISS will give you the date that you may enter Taiwan and you will be able to book flight ticket, quarantine hotel, 7 days self-health management hotel or dorm. Once you book the 7 days self-health management dorm, cancellation is NOT accepted. 3. Fill in the google form and upload your passport main page, Taiwan visa page, flight itinerary and quarantine hotel booking confirmation letter. After collecting your visa number and flight itinerary, OISS will then apply for an entry permit with the Ministry of Education. Please make sure that you discuss with OISS regarding your 14-day quarantine hotel reservation and 7-day self-health management location. Before you receive your visa, you cannot reserve 7-day self-health management location at MCU dormitory. |
| January 27th to February 9th , 2022 | MCU is closed from January 27 to February 9 during Chinese Lunar New Year vacation. MCU will re-open on February 10. |
| February 13th , 2022 | Students arrive in Taiwan, checking in quarantine hotel reserved by yourself. |
| February 15th , 2022 | Students arrive in Taiwan, checking in government-arranged quarantine facilities, or quarantine hotel reserved by yourself. |

| March 10th , 2022 | Students must pay tuition fees and upload proof to MCU Student System before 12:00pm at noon, 10th of March. Otherwise, student’s admission of 2022 February semester will be cancelled. |
| End of March, 2022 | When completing 14-day quarantine and 7-day self-health management, new students check in Taipei JiXian dorm or Taoyuan on and off-campus dorms, or the private apartment arranged by yourself. |
| June 24th , 2022 | Before the end of the February semester Students submit verified certificates and transcripts to the Division of Academic Affairs so as to complete the registration procedures. |

Please be reminded that students still need to follow pandemic prevention and quarantine measures formulated by Taiwan government even if you were vaccinated already in your home country.
